Sales volume of new condos will go up by 33% year-on-year to hit 2,300 units during the 2nd quarter of 2019, Edmund Tie and Company foresees while comparing to 1st quarter’s 1,739 units.
In a statement by Singapore Business Review, the hike is envisaged to be caused by the new site plan and projects ongoing in the Rest of Central Region (RCR), where it’s expected that sales will hit over 1,100 units (80% increase).
Apparently, the forecast was triggered by the five newly-launched projects in the market segment, where over 60% of the new units launched are centered.
In the first quarter of 2019, there was a 2.3% increase in the volume of new condos sold, with the Core Central Region (CCR) causing about 82% volume increase. There was a 52.4% hike in Outside Central Region (OCR) within the same quarter while there was a 37.3% dip in sales volume in the RCR when compared to the previous quarter.
